    1. Three Hours by Rosamund Lupton.

      Definitely a suspense novel as it takes place over three hours during a school shooting but the style is way more literary than a typical thriller. It’s beautifully and uniquely written but also so intense.

    2. Not sure if this is what you’re looking for but I thought of {{Out by Natsuo Kirino}}, {{These Violent Delights by Micah Nemerever}}, {{If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio}}, and {{Popular Hits of the Showa Era by Ryu Murakami}}

    3. Long Bright Highway by Liz Moore is one I enjoyed, and I second the suggestion of Patricia Highsmith. But tbh you’ve found the best of them — whenever I’m reading a thriller, I generally wish I was reading something by Barbara Vine.
