I guess best description would be something like Gravity Falls or well…supernatural. Just a group or person encountering supernatural creatures. It can be both with overarching plot, or when it at first is more like ‘the monster of the week’.
Ps: (I know of The Dreden files. Just figured that could get suggested.)
