Whale fall by Elizabeth O’Connor ( clarifying because it looks like there's another book by the same name)
I like everything about the novel – evocative, simple and succinct prose yet evocative and powerful, a great sense of place,as a reader I was able to get into the heart of the protagonist's dilemma yet nothing had to be said out aloud.
I have already read Claire Keegan.
Open to anything except WWI / WWII stories.

Is the one you read by Elizabeth O’Connor or Daniel Kraus? I’m interested in seeing what it’s about.
