For my wife.
She keeps picking up books with a lot of esoteric, historical and philosophical themes (Animal Farm for instance) but can't get into it and feels like she's failing.
In the past she's LOVED straightforward action and horror stuff like Night's Edge and the Exorcist.
Anything to recommend? Ideally a little modern.
