So I'm 19, and with my current reading speed, I’m able to read about 30 books a year. I started reading seriously a few years ago, and so far I’ve managed to read 76 books. Now, if the average human lifespan is around 80 years and I have 60 left and I keep reading at my current pace, that means I’ll be able to read around 1800 books, and since that number doesn’t even make so much as a dent in the 158,464,880 books that have been written, I’m only interested in the best of the best that has been written. I love reading and deem my reading time precious, which is why I’m asking what are the best books you have read in your lifetime that you would honestly say are absolutely worth every second your time.
My current top 5:
One hundred years of solitude.
Blood meridian.
Moby dick.
Wuthering heights.
East of eden.
