Suggestion about non-fiction modern gold mining adventure

I read "oro" by Cizia Zike. The real adventure of someone who mined gold in a small scale, made a lot of money and met a lot of unique people.

Do you know something similar ? It does not need to be gold but I am fascinated with mining. Bonus point if the story happened recently, like in the last 30 years. The older it is, the harder for me to relate.
