I have become quite interested in the history of Latin America and I would like to keep learning. As an example, I recently learned about the Dirty War that took place in Argentina in the 70's and 80's, particularly the "disappeared" political prisoners and the children of those individuals who were adopted out to couples on the side of the dictatorship.
I would like to read more about the various conflicts that have taken place in the past century across Latin America and how they have shaped their respective countries. Ideally nothing overly dry or long. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
