I am looking for a new book to thumb through and I'd like it to be in line with the title of this post. I am a big fan of stories about how SHTF and things rolled into the end times. If anyone has an idea of a great book to look into i would love to hear about it. Thanks.

The Silo series by Hugh Howey
Society has been wiped out, the only survivors live in a hollowed out missile silo.
Station Eleven by Emily St John Mandel
Jumps around a timeline a bit, but a sudden plague wipes out civilization. Follows a traveling band of performers that visit villages.
Tender Is The Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica
More dystopian, and quite disturbing. Basically humans eliminated all animals due to a virus, but we still need meat, so, humans as livestock.
Some classics:
I Am Legend by Richard Matheson
The Stand by Stephen King
The Road by Cormac McCarthy
How High We Go in the Dark by Sequoia Nagamatsu – stories of a dystopian world and what becomes normalized
Prophet Song by Paul Lynch – a book about one family and the city falling to authoritarianism, starts out scary and things just keep getting worse
Lark Ascending by Silas House
