I read the Ryan Grim book "The Squad" recently, and I was really interested in the sections about the inner-workings of Congress, specifically the recountings of how things happened in regards to legislating and negotiating with party leadership, etc.
Put another way, I'm looking for something similar to the genre of campaign books that come out after the presidential elections like the new Wolff book, or "Shattered" by Amie and Parnes, but about Congress.
I'll read about either branch or either party, and any time period in American politics is great with me. Thanks so much for any ideas you have!
