Are there any books, whether it be a textbook to a novel that details the day to day lives of times of peace in various cultures throughout history and to today. It could be a book dedicated to one culture or many. As accurate as possible but still allowing reasonable historical fiction.

I know fighting and war is a part of nearly every culture throughout history but if possible I'd rather it be more focused on the peaceful aspects. For example maybe a book about Native Americans before Europe got involved or the day to day about sheep farmers in England or anything in between. Thank you in advance for any recommendations!
