BEST book to get out of a reading slump

DNFed (paused) the past 3 books i was reading. and i was planning to start If We Were Villains, but i really think something that will grip me and have me on the edge of my seat. maybe they have deep content, but not super dense iykwim

just plz no romantasy and SUPER short books under 150

if all else fails i'll reread warrior cats series..
