I recently finished the Dexter novel series by Jeff Lindsay and I'm in the mood to read some more crime thrillers. I'm looking for something with morally flawed characters, a moderately-paced narrative, nothing too action-oriented, rather more focused on the process of investigation itself, and if possible stylistically driven by cynical dark humour.
I'm normally more of a fantasy/sci-fi reader, so I can't really give examples of other similar books, but any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
