Hey everyone.
I am not a very big reader so I thought the best place to ask is here.
My girlfriend’s birthday is coming up. This will be the first gift I buy her for a birthday and we’ve only be together a short time. But she is perfect and I don’t want to miss this up!
She enjoys reading. I tried to get a sense of what her taste is, and what I gathered is that what she gravitates toward is not non fiction! (which i kinda thought)
Well, fictional yes, but not magical fiction or fantasy either. She enjoys them but they wouldnt be her "perfect" cosy night read.
She likes stories about people, with things that can happen to anyone, and a touch of magic realism also works. anything that can reflect or parallel our ordinary lives; things that can move us.
What do you guys suggest? I’d really appreciate all your help here!
Note: I was recommended a few by a fellow redditor and i liked The Music of the Bees. Wondering if any of you can second it or suggest a few other good reads?
