Hey everyone. I’ve recently been trying to connect more with my culture and roots. I’m middle eastern and was hoping to get some book suggestions on adventures in the Middle East. Bedouin vibes per se. I’d prefer fiction but if there are great non fiction books written like a novel I’m open to that as well
    Thanks!

Honeymoon in Purdah by Alison Wearing was good – a young woman and her male best friend pretend to be married so they can take an extended vacation in Iran

The Sheltering Sky, by Paul Bowles (meh)

Seven Pillars of Wisdom, by T. E. Lawrence (a classic and very readable)

Tinderbox: the past and future of Pakistan, by M. J. Akbar (this one is top tier)
