Hello everyone, I'm new to this subreddit, and also new to reading. Read my first 3 books last year, aiming to read at least 8 this year. Here is the list of the books I've read so far:

    1. "Falling" by TJ Newman
    2. "It Ends with Us" by Colleen Hoover
    3. "Lost in Time" by A.G. Riddle
    4. "The House Across the Lake" by Riley Sager
    5. "The Perfect Marriage" by Jeneva Rose
    6. ARC of "The Last Morning: A Thriller" by Camden Baird
    7. "His First Wife" by Jack Dane *currently reading*

After reading this lineup, I realized I do enjoy the Mystery/Thriller genre the most, and a bit of Sci-Fi as well. As I am reading "His First Wife," I realized all the recent mystery/thrillers I read were essentially murder mystery between a couple. Although I enjoyed them, I am kind of bored of the like-storylines.

For my next read, I was looking for something still in the mystery/thriller genre full of suspense, but would love for it to revolve around some sort of modern day technology and/or AI, social media influencers/youtubers/content creators, crypto, etc. Any suggestions anyone might have, especially if they think its an absolute 10 out of 5 star read!

Secondly, am open to some sort of sci-fi suggestions as well, but ones that are easy to read/understand, not heavy on the sci-fi unrealistic aspect of it.

    Thanks in advance!

If you liked “Falling”, and want something modern day technology with social media etc, then you’ll love “Three Hours” by Rosamund Lupton ! I was absolutely shook reading it, and it had me gripped for an entire day!! SOOOOO good !!
