Hello everyone! I’m looking for a specific niche as the title suggests.

Preferably modern day/sci fi, but fantasy is fine. And preferably a queer romance if any.

    I’ve already read:
    – Gideon the Ninth (and Harrow, Nona)
    – Forging Hephaestus (1-3)

    Planning on reading:
    – Traitor Baru Cormorant
    – Hench
    – The One Who Eats Monsters

Looking for a few that better fit something like Forging Hephaestus (which is ideally what I’d like) but anything helps!

The Salvation Gambit by Emily Skrustkie! It’s a sci-fi about a group of swindlers (all women) who end up arrested and stuck on a sentient inescapable prison ship. It’s a really fun ride all the way through. And there’s a romance side plot. I think most of the authors work is similar but I’m not certain.

Also, Alexis Henderson writes fantasy that tends towards horror and I know at least her first two books follow gay women, I’m not sure about her newest one.
