Read-Aloud book for Fourth Graders

I'm guest speaking in a fourth-grade classroom soon and need help finding a great read-aloud book. I'm looking for something for 8-10 year olds in a public school setting that has some real literary quality to it.

I'd prefer something newer that the kids might not have heard before. I love books that can make kids laugh while also touching on meaningful themes. Nothing controversial, just something engaging that will hold their attention for a 15-20 minute reading session. Probably a picture book would work best.

I've been searching but finding it tricky to hit that sweet spot for this age group – they're not little kids anymore but not quite middle schoolers either. I'd really appreciate your suggestions!
