I have been given the go ahead by my principal to order new furnishings and new books for my school’s library!
Looking for book recommendations for grades 9-12. Looking for anything that can increase buy in and encourage literacy development. I am trying to make my school’s library cool again 😎 Bonus points for graphic novels.

I would say Percy Jackson books and Heroes of Olympus are a must-have.
Agatha Cristie for all the suspense and mystery enthusiasts
(I think this is might not be that much of a popular requests maybe I’m the only one but I would have really appreciated if my school had the Penguin Black Classics books they make classic literature so much more accessible and easier to read)
For graphic novels I would definitely suggest Heartstopper (but it has a lot of queer characters and also depictions of lgbtq+ characters on the covers, idk how certain schools are with that topic and books of that matter)
