I’ve really been enjoying the spooky/horror historical vibes of Laura Purcell novels lately, but now I’ve read them all. Please suggest some others like them. Little to no romance if possible. Thank you! by Professional_Ear4712 Related: I’m in love with Rhys and Xaden, please tell me what to read next… Human zoo Books about social issues during the Polish People’s Republic? A book about a goofy group of friends navigating high school and life’s challenges. Fantasy or contemporary. Quite lighthearted and funny with loveable characters please! Recommend me something like Bartimaeus

There is romance or rather obsession but it’s a really great and creepy read. The Little Stranger (also by Waters) is also amazing. You might also enjoy Classic Ghost Stories e.g. by M.R.James (No Romance at all ) And The Turn of the Screw by Henry James is an essential spooky read 🙂 (also no romance) You could also check out Hare House by Sally Hinchcliffe.
