My 8yo has been reading aloud to me from The Wild Robot. It's helping her fluency and comprehension a ton, but I wonder if there is anything similar (other than the sequels) for when we finish.
Specifically, I appreciate how it hits the sweet spot of being at a good 3rd/4th grade reading level, so she isn't bored, but also has short chapters. Since she is the one reading out loud, I want her to build stamina without getting too overwhelmed.
Am I looking for a unicorn here? Is The Wild Robot just a really unique book?
