I really need help finding a book for me and my cousin! We’re both talking about novels we wish to acquire and one popped into my head.

I don't remember the genre, but I do remember that as pages go on it starts to become distorted in a sense where the author is rotating paragraphs or something. The book basically becomes something you have a decipher or something… I'm really sorry but it's stuck in my head and I can't figure out what to put into google.
