I’m looking for books that leave an imprint, that make me pause and reread a sentence just to feel it again.
Some of my favourites include books like The Nightingale, The Bridges of Madison County, The Island of Missing Trees, The Covenant of Water—stories that weave together heartbreak and hope, resilience and tenderness, where the prose feels almost like poetry.
What would you recommend? I’m ready to be swept away.
