Would u recommend the “Game of thrones” book series to a beginner?
I'm currently watching the series nd loving it so far, I also wanna read the books of it but I'm not a vivid reader nd don't read often does the books go in depth than the series and would u recommend it??
The books are quite good, but very dense. Very dense. However, if you’re into the story, I say go for it. What’s the worst that could happen? You put the books down and try them again some other time. 🤷🏻♂️

The books are pretty dense and have a lot more detail then the series. I wouldn’t recommend the books through because the book series isn’t complete. And it doesn’t look like it ever will be.

Game of Thrones is a very well-liked fantasy series. It is a long one though. Book one is about 700 pages. It’s worth checking out as a fan of the TV show. Just don’t get discouraged if it takes you a long time to finish it.

The first time I picked up the books, I gave up when I came to a Catelyn chapter and couldn’t for the life of me remember who Catelyn was.
Having watched the series, I had a good idea of who the characters were and I tried reading again, and it was a breeze. I loved it. Very dense, as others have said, but having watched the series makes it a little lighter on the imagination.
Give it a go ! Worse comes to worst, you’ll put them down and you’ll still know what GoT is about.

I’d recommend! I loved the GOT books. I read them at a time when I had been regularly reading some easy fiction books but was just dipping my toe into adult fantasy. They got me into the genre, and I flew through them pretty quick!
I’d also recommend the audio books if you’re an audio book person.

I wouldn’t purely for the fact that they won’t ever be finished. Not by Martin at least.

Only if you want to be wrapped up in a super captivating story that will never be completed.

Unequivocally YES
I was in the same boat around ten years ago, aware of the show interested in the books, I began reading the first chapter of the first book in a bookstore and ended up buying it without being sure if I was the type of person who would/could finish it all, but I rarely tear through books like I did with A Song of Ice and Fire.
The writing is just that good, from character to worldbuilding to prose.
The only question is how you feel about the likelyhood that we won’t get another mainline novel, but there’s no one, not one person, who read the series and says “man, I really wish I hadn’t gotten to know all of these characters and their stories” just because it’s unlikely we’ll get another book.
If you start reading now you’ll still have thousands of pages of some of the best reading available to you.
