I've heard a lot of wonderful things about Elizabeth Strout, but I am unsure which book of hers to pick up. For anyone who has enjoyed her work, which would you recommend I start with? Thanks 🙂
I am also curious about this because I picked up a random one from the library but didn’t end up reading it because I heard there’s an order you’re supposed to follow!

I believe the first book was Amy and Isabelle, but all the characters intertwine. I began with the Olive Kitteridge books, and then the Lucy Barton ones and am now working my way around whichever ones I can get from the library haha.

I recommend staring with the “Amgash” series which centers around Lucy Barton. It’s 1) My Name is Lucy Barton 2) Anything is possible 3) Oh William 4) Lucy by the Sea.
Tell Me Everything was released last year which features characters from all her books so it’s recommended to read the Lucy and Olive books before that one.
