When I’m feeling like Im in a slog with a big book, I pick up a novella to cleanse my platette and take a small break from the big book. Big books have more of a world building burden, so it’s hard to have a constant tick of interest. They usually build to a big payoff. It’s hard to get through, so little breaks help.
