Basically what I'm looking for are some suggestions for books with a similar vibe to the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. It is one of my favorite stories, but whenever I find a list of recommendations the focus is too heavy on the (in my opinion virtually nonexistent) horror elements.
What I want is some historical fiction focused on the time periods during or adjacent to the American War of Independence / Colonial America in general, preferably set in New England.
