When we were newly dating, my husband and I took a two week camping road trip. To help pass the long stretches in the car, I read aloud to him. We enjoyed experiencing books together, so we've continued doing it. Whether we're on a multi-day road trip or just driving to the grocery store, we read. Our book selection has somewhat adjusted as our children started to pay attention. I've gotten pretty good at adjusting the word choice when needed to make it kid-friendly! Some books we've powered through quickly and others have taken us months to finish.

Today, we finished our 76th book together.

Here is the list of what we've read starting with our first book in 2014. Some may not consider these texts of value or worth reading, but we enjoyed most (although certainly not all) of them.

    1. Oh I love this idea! I wish I didn’t get car sick if I read while in the car. I suppose audiobooks are also an option lol but reading aloud to each other somehow seems more special and more like quality time
