Hello! I am in dire need of suggestions for exciting audiobooks. I have never has any interest in it, but recently got a new job where I can wear headsets in pretty much the whole shift, and I want to give audiobooks a proper try.

I listened to Navessa Allen’s Lights Out after my friend had me listen to it in exchange for her to finally start ToG. And while it’s not my usual go-to genre, I was hooked! Went out on walks just to listen to it, it was easy to follow along to and super funny. However, the audiobooks I have tried after that one just kinda goes in in one ear and out the other at work.

My ‘main’ genre is fantasy, with a bit of romance and romantasy here and there as palate cleansers. But having now tried to listen to LoTR and Malice, I also had to try Eragon, simply to listen to something I had already read to give listening a proper try. And honestly I didn’t register anything that has happened so far in 😅

I suspect maybe I need to go for other genres to be able to easily follow along while working a physical, albeit somewhat simple job.

I also find that the narrators had so much to say for my sake, whether or not I liked it. The ones from Lights Out were perfect and so engaging.

    Any good recommendations?
