The hardest question in being a reader. You’ll find a thousand more books you can’t read with the time you have. The trick is teach yourself it’s okay to just start reading. Continue a book for as long as you’re enjoying it or are at least interested in it. Stop reading if/when you’re not and move on.
Also there’s nothing wrong with reading 2+ books at once. Just start reading something. For my two cents, I’d say don’t bother with Harry Potter and start with the other one I’ve never heard of. But it’s all you, 100%

Some people like to read the first chapter of 2 books if they can’t decide which to start with.
One thing to consider is that it seems like The Girl in Room 105 is a stand alone book, while Harry Potter is the beginning of a 7 book series. So you could go with the stand alone first, then start in on the series.
Harry potter is still one of my favorite, if not my favorite, series of books 2 decades after first starting reading them. They provided a lot of comfort for me growing up. It’ll be a very fun ride for you!
