SO FAR IVE READ…
-
Devil In The White City by Erik Larson, which I enjoyed for a non-fiction. The world’s fair chapters just couldn’t compete with the H.H. Holmes chapters.
-
The Alienist series. I loved the concept way more than the execution.
-
Ragtime and Water Works by E.L. Doctorow. A little stiff for my taste. Not exactly page turners.
-
The Man From St. Petersburg by Ken Follett. Very fun and certainly a page turner, but more World War One era than turn of the century.
Anything come to mind?

This is a little earlier than you might want, set in the late 1800’s, but you might try {{The Dante Club by Matthew Pearl}}.
