I'm pregnant and nervously getting ready for a 12 hour flight. Looking for a book suggestion that will keep me hooked and distracted. When I have a book I'm into, I can read for long periods of time, but I've also been known to drop several books mid read if I'm not feeling it.
A few I've loved this year:
• demon copperhead
• tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow
• one's company (maybe I didn't love this but it was bonkers and kept me attached)
Books I didn't love but expected to:
• poisonwood bible
• white teeth
Any ideas?

I also loved Demon Copperhead and Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow. Others I really enjoyed and couldn’t put down —
Cloud Cuckoo Land – Anthony Doerr (bonus — it’s long)
This Time Tomorrow – Emma Straub
Flight Behavior – Barbara Kingsolver
Project Hail Mary – Andy weir
Lonesome Dove – Larry McMurtry
Those are 2 of my all time favorites
I love both Demon Copperhead and Poisonwood Bible.
Some others I love: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith, She’s Come Undone by Wally Lamb, The Book of Negroes by Lawrence Hill, The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck, Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts.
I listed longer books, but I can always recommend some shorter ones!
11/22/63. Actually picked this one up in an airport because I’d finished another book. This is a thick Stephen King book and I demolished a good chunk of it on my flight and finished the rest in a couple days.
