I'm looking for a plot where the protagonist(s) rise from the bottom and achieve success in life, whether by developing an interesting project or fulfilling their dreams.
Something in the style of the TV series Suits, but it doesn't have to be about lawyers.
The description is very general that is why it is challenging to find something good that isn't too futuristic.
A bit about me: I'm a software engineer and entrepreneur, so I relate to this kind of story.
Again, I'm not looking for books based on true stories.
