(TW, CSA discussed)
I’ve just finished up the part where Eva and Franklin decide to call it quits after the testimonies. I’m finding Eva unreasonable in her not believing Kevin’s claims against the teacher of the sexual assault. Sexual assault is a serious allegation, especially when it comes from your child. You don’t accuse your child of lying about something traumatic just because you’re skeptical, you investigate further. I just wanted to discuss this part in the book, what’s everybody else’s thoughts? Is he lying, or is Eva in the wrong? As usual, mark spoilers for parts after this section of the book. I find this part very interesting and I wanna know what you guys took from it?

Have you actually finished the book? If not just finish the book because you cannot discuss this without massive spoilers for the end of the book.
I will say though that at this point in the book I was 100% on Eva’s side even before I finished the book. Kevin has done enough stuff before this point in the book where no one who is reasonable should trust him on anything.
