So I'm allowed to listen to things on my phone at work. The work I do can usually be done on autopilot. Usually. There are some times when I kind of have to focus. I'd like an audiobook that I can follow the story of even when I might stop paying attention to it for maybe 30 seconds every now and then (without having to rewind it).

I actually have found some books like this. I just got done listening to an old science-fantasy book called Planet of Peril by Otis Adelbert Kline (a pastiche of Edgar Rice Burroughs's Barsoom novels, which I'm a fan of). I've looked up other books by the author, but they tend to be kind of short (6 or 7 hours). I kind of want something a bit longer.

    1. The Passengers by John Marrs is a nearfuture tech thriller where automatic cars are hacked and set on a collision course with live footage. Society must come together to choose 1 passenger to save. Everyone has secrets. Gripping and easy to follow. 11.5 hours
