I'm looking for recommendations that can give me the same sense of existential dread as Steven L. Peck's 'A Short Stay in Hell.'
I've been lingering on this book since I read it last August. As I approach 40 and start to grapple with the feeling of life being half-over this book fits so well. I'm less concerned about a similar setting or premise and more focused on finding a book that instills that same anxiety and fear.
Open to recommendations from any genre, as long as it captures that specific feeling. I've seen some older posts on this book, but books are released every day, so I'm hoping for some fresh suggestions.
I've asked Gemini but feel like AI gives me the same 5 usual bestsellers and I'm looking for real human recommendations lol
