Please please please I need something good, if it's a book series even better. I don't want any romance and I don't want any books where the protagonist is a white tall generic dirty blonde with a white shirt, jeans and wears a hat, nothing like that please

If you’re down for something on the less traditional side, check out Red Rabbit by Alex Grecian
The only answer to this is lonesome dove
What ARE you looking for from it? It would help narrow down what to recommend

^you may find something here if you don’t mind genre bending. Paranormal westerns can be really fun/engaging.
Alloy of law
How much of “wild” do you want in your way out west?
If you wouldn’t mind quite a bit of wild, how about “the gunslinger” by Stephen king? This one is quite the journey, a whole series and it will take a long time. Consider it a journey.
> “The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed”
I bet you’d like the album Eyes Like the Sky by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Basically its a western audiobook with music.
Sorrow Draw by Tim Brumbaugh.
Lonesome Dove is the answer, but anything by Louis L’Amour should scratch the itch too!
The Lonesome Gods- Louis L’Amour
This might be a little out there, but I loved Lone Women by Victor LaValle. It’s about single women homesteading out west in the early 1900’s. Lots of western frontier content, but also it has a monster/horror twist. It was so good!
If you wanna struggle read blood meridian
Lonesome dove
The bullet swallower
The shootist
True grit
Have you ever read any Louis L’Amour? He wrote a ton of westerns and is medium to light on the romance aspect. As far as series go there is The Sackett series.
