I’m looking for book recommendations on grief, as I lost my dad last month to cancer. He was only 59, and I’m 25. It breaks my heart to think about everything he went through—he was such an amazing person, and losing him feels so unfair. This has been such a confusing and painful time, and I often feel so alone in it.
I’m also thinking of getting a book for my mom for her birthday—something that could bring her comfort and maybe help her navigate this loss. Also something that talks about the realness and reality of loss. She lost not just her husband but her best friend and partner in life.
If you have any book suggestions—whether for myself or for my mom—I’d really appreciate it. Thank you so much.
