Any recommendations good classic funny books from the 1930s-1960s for little ones similar to How Little Lori Visited Times Square, Eloise, or Caps for Sale?

The books from that era crack me up. Something Like How Little Lori Visited Times Square wouldn't be able to fly now of course (The ending LOL — but not leaving a spoiler!). Same with Eloise and some of the illustrations.

That being said the stories are super funny and I too enjoy them as an adult.

My favorite so far has been How Little Lori Visited Times Square.

I can't get enough of these old books, reading them for my kids but also loving the books myself.

Anything from say 1930s-1960s or even earlier!
