honestly looking more for personal essays or standalone articles but i'd take memoire or nonfiction essay collection suggestions as well. i'm working on a project that explores some stuff about young hollywood/child stars as well as our social obsession with fame. are there any great essays or articles about the experience of being a child star or the child of celebrities, or that generally address fame in the modern era in an interesting way? weirdly i'm struggling to research what I feel like is a pretty popular topic. social commentary stuff with a philosophical bend is elite, but also very interested in first person perspectives. any suggestions?

Jennette McCurdy’s memoir *I’m Glad My Mom Died* might be a good fit.
There’s gotta be stuff out there about [The Mickey Mouse Club kids](https://web.archive.org/web/20220806040240/https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2022/07/ryan-gosling-disney-child-stars) and [Michelle Trachtenberg just passed](https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/mara-wilson-defended-michelle-trachtenberg-from-bullies-1236167872/).
