Does anyone have any suggestions for Alternate History fiction where the United States doesn't occupy current boundaries, e.g. it never formed, broke up after the Civil War, Native nations or Mexico won, etc.
P.S. I have already read Divided We Fall, The Plot Against America and It Can't Happen Here. I'm not necessarily looking for Dystopian, just other ways things could have turned out. Thanks.

*Fire on the Mountain* explores what might have happened if John Brown won.
You could read Harry Turtledove. Guns of the South is a good one, standalone. He also has two series about this, one during the Civil War and one after.
The Man in High Castle by Philip K Dick? Alternate history where the US gets divided between Germany and Japan after WWII.
The Years of Rice and Salt by Kim Stanley Robinson.
