Hey guys, so I’ve never really read a psychology book before, and I’m thinking about diving in. I’m kinda nervous though because I don’t want to read something and not enjoy it, then get totally turned off from psychology. I’m more interested in books that explain the “crazy” side of things (mental disorders, abnormal psychology, that kind of stuff). Also, I’m not really bothered by anything—like triggers or dark topics—so feel free to recommend something that gets into the gritty side of things. Looking for something that’s interesting, engaging, and gives insight into what makes people tick, especially when things go off the rails a bit. Appreciate any suggestions!
