I grew up in a deeply religious family, for som context.

I think this is a fairly unoriginal answer, but “Atlas Shrugged”. I’m still bitter about every second I spent on it.

Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson. I loved the first two books in the series but I hated Oathbringer so much I almost quit halfway though. I powered through but if I could go back in time I would tell myself not to. The series was all downhill from there

    4. A Separate Peace. For some reason reading this book made me feel like I was dragging sandbags through mud. I’ve been told it’s actually really good and I should give it another chance, but I can’t bring myself to do so.

    5. Here’s all the absolute dogshit books I’ve read/DNF-ed 🥰

The Girl on the train – Paula Hawkins

One of us is lying – Karen M. McManus

A series of unfortunate events: The Bad Beginning – Lemony Snicket

      Dracula – Bram Stoker

      Frankenstein – Mary Shelley

It could be anyone – Jaime Lynn Hendricks

Hyperbole and a half – Allie Brosh

      Playground – Aron Beauregard

Fat girl finishing school – Rachel Wiley

Nothing is Okay – Rachel Wiley

The Silent Patient – Alex Michaelides

Not what she seems – Yasmin Angoe

    6. Neuromacer is straight garbage in my opinion. Gibson’s prose are choppy and hard to read and there’s a lot of uncomfortable sexist and questionable consensual android sex stuff. I know it’s considered a sci-fi classic and the progenitor of cyber-punk, but I just found it to be a chore to read with uncomfortable content,
