I don't want to hear your perfect reads, or even your worst ones. Give me your complicated loves, because I find learning about them tells me just as much about a person as what they love wholeheartedly.
Case in point: The Dresden Files. Most of the issues you hear about online are completely justified… and yet, they were some of my first forays into fantasy and among the best.

“Neuromancer” by William Gibson
Sandman Slim Series. The first few books are great. Drops off a bit towards the end. And it’s set in LA and hell. Maybe it’s the same.
Confederacy of Dunces. Read about the lovely mother who believed in her son’s work so much, she found a publisher even after he committed s. It is a funny and silly and playful book and I am so sorry he didn’t live to see it.
