So I just turned 40 and I guess I had always thought I would have time to read most of the ‘great’ books in the world. Every time I see a rows of books at the bookshop I think “yeah I still have time to read all those”. Reality is, in terms of fiction books I’m probably honestly reading 1-2 a year. So I need to change that.
Would really appreciate any suggestions on fiction books to help me build the habit of reading. I’d be happy with one book a month if I could!

for me, getting out of a rut means finding a book I can’t help but read, whether for hours at a time or in the spare moments between tasks. for me, that usually means a book with a lot of very well written dialogue (plays can be perfect for this) but your milage my vary
so I’ll ask you three questions to figure out what works for you before giving any recommendations, since one person’s page turner is another person’s impenetrable tomb
1. what are three books you love?
2. what are three books you read very quickly?
3. how do you usually read books (paperback, hard cover, Kindle, audiobook, etc.)?
