I just read “The God of the Woods” and was drawn to the sleepaway camp setting but not much else (wish it had been more intricate and intelligent of a story, but I’m not really into new release thrillers anyway). Recent reads I’ve loved include “Confusion” by Stefan Zweig, “Sweet Days of Discipline” by Fleur Jaeggy, and “Forbidden Notebook” by Alba de Céspedes. Can anyone recommend books with a similar setting but a more literary story?
