hi guys! i have my thesis proposal due at the end of this week and i'm still workshopping my research question/hypothesis. my plan is to write about literary final girls as gothic doubles in sentient/"alive" houses (e.g.: mexican gothic by silvia moreno-garcia). i'm hoping to refine this statement with a sub-topic like (toxic) female friendships or something of the like, but i'm not too sure yet.
if you know any titles that have final girls, liminal houses/spaces, the gothic double motif, or have any ideas on what themes could pull it together, i'd really appreciate it!
