I’m looking to dive into a book that’s going to stick with me—something that either completely swept you away, changed how you see the world, or just kept you turning pages all night.
I want to hear about your favorite book. But don’t just drop a title. Sell it to me. Tell me why it hit you so hard, what it’s about (no spoilers, please), and what kind of person you think would fall in love with it.
I love books that are insanely entertaining—like the kind you cancel plans for—but also have a beautiful, well-thought-out meaning underneath it all.
So really make me want to read it, pitch it to me like we’re on shark tank, and if you speak from the heart and truly LOVE this book, then I’m all ears. 😉

Alright, let me pitch you a book that I always recommend:
“Never Let Me Go” by Kazuo Ishiguro
This book will sneak up on you. It starts quietly, following three childhood friends at a seemingly idyllic English boarding school, but there’s something… off. As the story unfolds, a creeping sense of unease settles in, and you realize that what you’re reading is a slow-motion heartbreak. It’s not just a novel, it’s a gut punch wrapped in beautifully understated prose.
Why should you read it right now? Because it’s the kind of book that lingers. It makes you rethink what it means to be human, to love, to lose, and to accept fate, even when it feels unbearably cruel. Ishiguro doesn’t throw emotions in your face; he lets them seep into your bones, so by the time you reach the last page, you’re left staring into space, wrecked in the best way.
Who would love this book? If you liked The Road by Cormac McCarthy for its quiet devastation, A Little Life for its deep emotional impact, or The Handmaid’s Tale for its eerie, dystopian realism, this is your next obsession.
I also run a weekly newsletter where I share book recommendations like this if you are interested. No Spams! https://hi.switchy.io/QGsy.
The Nightingale- this book has got to be on the top of everyone’s TBR! Seeing WW2 from a different pov was incredible! This book had me feeling all the things! The tears I cried were due to all the emotions! It made me think about the impact people can have on the world around them really got me! It also makes me think about the things we may or may not know about our parents/other family members! Even now I am tearing up thinking about how good this book is!
Bear town- uplifting and a satisfying finish that will leave you thinking about it long after you’ve finished it.
Boy’s Life by Robert McCammon. It is what I consider essential reading for anyone that wants to recapture childhood again in 500 or so pages.
