I am trying to remember for the life of me the name of this book series I read about 15 – 20 years ago. I remember the cover may have had a picture of a male with long blonde or silver hair holding a sword. The book also had a lion or tiger as a character in it. The main character died at the end of the first book. I believe it has magic in it too. I faintly remember something about lightning too.
