Basically this post is inspired by the anime/manga Orb: movements of Earth. In that show/manga a young scholar is introduced to Heliocentrism and whole he knows it goes against the church. He can't stop pursuing it because he is a scholar. The churches side of the story is weeding out those studying heresy and torturing them. It poses questions on the pursuit of knowledge against institutions. Set in old English times.
I'd like a book with a similar theme. For non fiction I'd like something set in older time. I could do something modern. But not really interested in some type of fantasy novel. It really needs to be somewhat grounded in the real world.
And obviously this stuff happened in real life. So I'd take any nonfiction suggestions as well.
