I’ve been looking for books where magic isn’t just mysterious or mythical, but something more systematic — like a job people go to or a science they study. Not necessarily super serious, just more grounded or logical in how it works.

Any recommendations? And do you think magic becomes less "magical" when it's explained too much?

    1. The Dresden Files Magic is mystical , a science as in rules and specific effects, and a day to day job for a large part of the human wizards. Jim Butcter
